Wheeljack didn't take their earlier conflict in the 'racks into account because he thought he'd been successful in convincing Trailbreaker he wasn't angry - or rather, he'd convinced himself he wasn't angry, and that Trailbreaker's claim that he was was completely groundless., making it a non-issue. It was in essence a similar situation to what happened in the commissary; at the time 'Jack denied both to himself and TB that he was bothered by it, but his real feelings came out when the threw it back in TB's faceplate during their argument. Not the most emotionally self-aware of 'Bots, is Wheeljack. He's as bad at grasping his own feelings as he is those of others. They blindside him constantly.
